On Thursday, March 26, Niagara Regional Council voted to move forward with a comprehensive service delivery review. We know that the residents of Niagara deserve better than the status quo. As Mayors of Niagara, with consensus of the Region, we support moving forward with meaningful change in Niagara. We are writing to you with a straightforward purpose: to update you on the concrete, made-in-Niagara solutions our municipalities have taken since that letter, and to make a specific request of the Province.
The Town has recently mailed out water bills, and we understand there has been some confusion as we transition to a new billing system. We’d like to help clarify what’s changed and what you can expect moving forward.
In observance of the Easter long weekend, please note that Town facilities will be operating with modified hours.
Motorists and the general public are advised that Regional Road 81 (Main Street West), between Woolverton Road and Kerman Avenue, will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning Monday, March 30, 2026, through Friday, April 10, 2026, weather permitting.
March 2026 water and wastewater bills have now been mailed. As a reminder for residents, this is the first billing cycle under the Town’s new water billing system and includes both fixed and usage-based charges for January and February 2026. The payment due date is Thursday, April 16, 2026.
The Town of Grimsby, in collaboration with the Recreation, Facilities & Culture Department and a community selection panel, is inviting artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the design and creation of a large-scale mural at the newly redeveloped Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre (MRPKC).

Environment Canada has issued a Yellow level warning for the Grimsby and the Niagara Region for heavy rainfall expected tonight (Tuesday, March 10th) and lasting through Wednesday.
