As we celebrate Black History Month 2025 throughout the month of February, we reflect on the theme: Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations.
The Town of Grimsby is proud to announce it has been recognized with two prestigious Design Awards as part of the 2024 Niagara Biennial Design Awards Program. These awards celebrate the Town’s commitment to excellence in landscape architecture and its ongoing dedication to enhancing public spaces for the community.
The Town of Grimsby, in partnership with the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee, invites local businesses to join the Mayor’s Business Breakfast. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast while networking with fellow professionals.
Mayor Jeff Jordan, Councillor Reg Freake, Councillor Don Howe, Councillor Lianne Vardy, Councillor Veronica Charrois, Councillor Jennifer Korstanje, Councillor Jacob Baradziej, Chief Administrative Officer Sarah Kim, as well as two Town Staff representatives, recently attended the 2025 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference as delegates for the Town of Grimsby.
Big news on the horizon (literally)! A new pedestrian bridge will be installed at Forty Mile Creek Park (Elizabeth Street Pumphouse location) this Spring.
The Town of Grimsby has awarded three significant and well-deserving community organizations grants as part of the Grimsby Community Development Grant (GCDG). These grants assist local, non-profit and charitable organizations with the needed funding to manage community-based programs, projects or events that help support and enhance the well-being of Grimsby residents and align with Council’s Strategic Priorities.
Each year, Town of Grimsby Staff prepare an annual budget which is based on the community’s priorities and input and ensure the allocation of local resources are distributed effectively. The objective of the budget is to address Council priorities, operations, services, infrastructure, and asset management for the Town.
The Town of Grimsby has awarded nine significant and well-deserving community organizations grants as part of the Community Project Grant Program.
Canada Post has resumed operations, and the Town of Grimsby is sending and receiving mail again. It may take some time for mail operations to normalize, and we encourage residents to continue making alternative payment methods wherever possible.
