Throughout the final phase of the Official Plan Review project, Council approval of the Official Plan had been anticipated for June 2026. Due to ongoing changes to provincial legislation and the planning framework, the project timeline has been extended to allow for additional review and public input on the next revised draft of the Official Plan.
The Town of Grimsby is advising residents that Regional Road 81 (Main Street West), between Woolverton Road and Kerman Avenue, will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Monday, May 25 to Wednesday, June 3, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is required to accommodate site servicing work at 292 Main Street West.

The Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee (JAAC) is inviting residents across participating Niagara municipalities to share their experiences, insights, and ideas through a new public accessibility survey aimed at helping shape future Multi Year Accessibility Plans.
The survey is designed to gather feedback on accessibility within municipal programs, services, facilities, communication methods, public spaces, transportation, and digital platforms. Community input will help municipalities better identify barriers, understand local needs, and prioritize improvements that create more inclusive and accessible communities for everyone.
