The Town of Grimsby officially kicked off the Peach King Centre Expansion and Renovation sponsorship campaign with an ambitious $1 million goal—and thanks to the incredible support of our local businesses, that goal has been achieved, paving the way for the success of Grimsby’s vibrant new community and wellness hub.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has started a national strike. Canada Post has announced that operations will be shut down for the duration of the strike.

The Town of Grimsby invites residents to join in Mayor’s Community Day, a free event happening at the Niagara West YMCA, 325 Main Street East, on Saturday, October 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Town of Grimsby has retained Walker Construction Limited to complete infrastructure improvements along Park Road South, including culvert replacement, ditching and road resurfacing. Work will begin September 22 and is expected to last until October 30.

Beginning Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12, crews will be carrying out test pit and borehole work in the downtown core as part of the design phase of the Downtown Reimagined Project.

The Town of Grimsby is pleased to announce the completion of new sidewalk construction along Nelles Road South and Dorchester Drive, just in time for the new school year. These improvements respond directly to community feedback and place a strong emphasis on pedestrian safety and accessibility.

The Town of Grimsby is now accepting applications for the Heritage Property Grant Program, with funding up to $5,000 available and designated property owners can now apply for matching grants to help maintain heritage sites.

The Town of Grimsby was well represented at the 2025 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, held in Ottawa from August 17 to 20, 2024. The annual AMO conference brings together municipalities, provincial ministries, and sector leaders to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and collaborate on solutions to the most pressing issues facing communities across Ontario.
