The Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre (MRPKC) officially opened its doors today, with Mayor Jeff Jordan and members of Town Council welcoming Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West, to mark the completion of Grimsby’s new community hub. The opening included a ceremonial ribbon cutting and community open house, inviting residents to explore the expanded, state-of-the-art facility and its wide range of new amenities designed to support recreation, wellness, and connection across the community.
The Town of Grimsby is preparing for a significant winter storm and prolonged period of extreme cold, starting today with bitterly cold conditions beginning this evening, and continuing through Saturday night. Conditions will be reassessed on Sunday morning, at which time the alert may be extended or lifted.
The Town of Grimsby invites residents to learn more and provide input on the Draft Official Plan.

Hosted by the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee (GEDAC) and emceed by GEDAC Chair Councillor Reg Freake, this signature event brings together business, community, and government leaders to discuss this year’s theme: Quality of Life as an Economic Advantage – Attracting and Retaining Businesses.

Due to the changing weather patterns and travel conditions, the Public Information Centre planned for this evening has been POSTPONED until Thursday, January 29th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Most Town of Grimsby facilities are open today and operating as scheduled until otherwise posted, with the exception of the Grimsby Public Library, which is closed today.
The Town of Grimsby is introducing a more streamlined, digital approach to municipal services with the implementation of Cloudpermit, a community development software used by local governments around the world. This online system manages building permit applications and inspection requests, allowing greater ease for residents in accessing their applications.
