The Grimsby Public Art Gallery, the Grimsby Public Library and the Grimsby Museum welcomes the community to Grimsby’s premier cultural event for a second year in a row. This fundraising gala, taking place on Friday, May 10th from 7 – 11 p.m. located at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery and Library (18 Carnegie Lane), is dedicated to fostering and encouraging an appreciation for arts, literature, culture, and history, with proceeds benefiting programming for the Library, Art Gallery, and the new permanent gallery at the Museum.
Chief Administrative Officer, Sarah Kim, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Del Monaco as the new Director of Finance/Treasurer, effective April 22, 2024. As the Treasurer, Tony will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial affairs and strategic financial management of our municipality.

With the Total Solar Eclipse only days away, Town Staff and Council are hoping residents will take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime rare phenomenon.
From Monday, April 1until Friday, July 5, Town crews will be flushing all fire hydrants as part of our annual water main maintenance program.
Town Staff will be distributing complimentary Solar Eclipse glasses to residents on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.
On Monday, April 8th, a Total Solar Eclipse will take place over southern Ontario, with the moon passing between the Earth and the sun, blocking the sun completely and turning the sky dark enough to see the stars.
At the Council meeting on Tuesday, February 20th, Town Council approved the 2024 budget with a 4.9 per cent increase to the Town’s portion of the tax levy, 1.16 per cent reduction on the Town’s wastewater tax levy, for an overall property tax increase of 4 per cent when combined with the regional and educational levies. The 4.9 per cent increase to the Town’s portion of the tax levy excluding wastewater results in residential property taxes increase by $67 per year ($5.60 a month), for an average residential household assessed at $442,000.
