The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) have officially gone on strike as of Friday, November 15, 2024, and Town of Grimsby residents may be impacted.

A pre-application proposal has been received by the Town of Grimsby for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law amendment for the lands known at 13 Mountain Street and 19-23 Elm Street.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 18, Elizabeth Street at the CN Rail Grade Crossing will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers issued a 72-hour strike notice on Tuesday, November 12 and the Town of Grimsby is working to find solutions for our residents to try and mitigate any potential impacts to our community.
