The Councils of the Township of West Lincoln, Town of Lincoln, and Town of Grimsby held a Joint Special Meeting on August 9, 2023. The purpose of the meeting was to engage in a collaborative and proactive discussion concerning the potential future governance structure in the West Niagara Region.
The Town of Grimsby is excited to announce the launch of a new one-time pilot grant to assist non-profit and charitable organizations that seek to enhance the well-being of Grimsby residents through community-based projects.
The Town of Grimsby is excited to proceed with the Casablanca Waterfront Park development. Since the beginning of the project, there has been significant interest in this area. The connectivity and accessibility along the waterfront are a top priority for the Casablanca neighbourhood. The Casablanca Waterfront Project will span the waterfront area from Hunter Road to the Water Treatment plant (with the easterly development area to be completed later).
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) has recently introduced a new sanitary and stormwater approvals process, referred to as the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approval (CLI ECA). The CLI ECA is meant to create an efficient process for low-risk projects, provide clear, transparent and consistent requirements, improve environmental protection and establish a more comprehensive picture of sewage works across the province.
The removal of multiple dead boxwood species is currently underway at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery in order to prevent further damage and/or the spread of insects and disease.
The Town of Grimsby, along with the Grimsby Public Library, is proud to announce a ground-breaking collaboration with LinkedIn Learning, the renowned online learning platform. This partnership provides free access to LinkedIn Learning's vast library of high-quality courses to all employees and residents of Grimsby who possess a valid library card.
Motorists and the general public are hereby advised that Regional Road 40 (South Service Road) between Nelles Road North and RR14 (Bartlett Ave.) will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Monday, April 24th at 7:00 am to Monday, August 21st at 5:30 pm.
The sidewalk on the south side of Main St E between Lawrence Ave and Cabernet St will be closed to pedestrians from Monday, May 29, 2023 – Monday, July 24, 2023.
