Orange Level Heat Warning in Effect for Grimsby and Niagara Region
Environment Canada is calling for a prolonged period of heat starting Tuesday, June 30 and is expected to last until this Friday, July 3 or possibly into the weekend. Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2 are expected to be the warmest days, potentially reaching maximum temperatures of 34 to 37 degrees Celsius.
- Highs of: 31 to 34 degrees Celsius, and potentially up to 37 degrees Celsius for some areas
- Lows of: 21–25 degrees Celsius, providing a little relief from the heat
A reminder for residents, when a Heat Warning has been activated, that free public swimming is available at YMCA of Niagara and at the Lion’s Pool through the Town of Grimsby.
