The Niagara Region has announced that, effective January 1, 2026, recycling collection for non-eligible sources (NES) currently serviced by the Region will be discontinued. Residential recycling is not affected — residents should continue to set out their blue boxes as usual.
The Grimsby Public Art Gallery welcomed the creativity of our community’s young artists through the Mayor’s Holiday Card Contest; an initiative introduced by Mayor Jeff Jordan to inspire and celebrate youth art in Grimsby. At a Special Council Meeting on December 3, 2025, Grimsby Council received EMG Consulting’s review of the recent joint fire services pilot between Grimsby and Lincoln. After careful consideration, Council has accepted several recommendations to strengthen Grimsby’s fire services — including the key recommendation to conclude the shared Fire Chief agreement at this time.
