Training

Grimsby Fire Department trains to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The training division consists of a training instructor with the assistance of qualified instructors who are responsible for training activities within the Grimsby Fire Department.

Training activities

Training activities include but not limited to:

• Firefighting operations
• Hazardous material response
• Auto extrication
• Medical emergency response
• Fire Prevention and Education services

Technical rescue responses

Technical rescue responses including:

• Rope rescue
• Confined space rescue
• Water and ice rescue
