The Town of Grimsby advises residents that Inglehart Road will be closed to through traffic and restricted to local traffic only between Ridge Road West and Kemp Road West from June 15 to September 30, 2026.
Motorists and members of the public are advised that Regional Road 81 (Main Street East) will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. to Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. (weather permitting).
Please be advised that Woolverton Access, between Main Street West and Ridge Road, will be temporarily closed on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to allow for scheduled road maintenance.

The Town of Grimsby recognizes the unique and historic character of the Grimsby Beach community and remains committed to preserving and protecting its heritage. As part of the Official Plan Review, the Town has received questions regarding the proposed Area Specific Policy Set for Grimsby Beach. In response, staff have prepared a detailed Q&A to provide clarity on the intent and direction of the policy framework.
Throughout the final phase of the Official Plan Review project, Council approval of the Official Plan had been anticipated for June 2026. Due to ongoing changes to provincial legislation and the planning framework, the project timeline has been extended to allow for additional review and public input on the next revised draft of the Official Plan.
The Town of Grimsby is advising residents that Regional Road 81 (Main Street West), between Woolverton Road and Kerman Avenue, will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Monday, May 25 to Wednesday, June 3, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is required to accommodate site servicing work at 292 Main Street West.
