Holiday of Hope - December 5th 2020
The Grimsby Santa Claus Parade committee is excited to announce the “Holiday of Hope” on Saturday December 5th 2020. The Holiday of Hope will be a day to experience the spirit of the Santa Claus Parade, while also providing residents the opportunity to support local businesses and those in need in our community.
Featuring
- Grimsby Santa Claus Reverse Parade
- Firefighters Association Food Drive in support of GBF
- Holiday Hope for local business
Santa Claus “Reverse” Parade – 5:00-9:00pm
Beginning at 5:00pm, residents are invited to visit several locations across Town where lights, special displays, and other traditional parade components will be on display for residents to visit from the safety of their vehicles.
Stops will be identified on a pre-published map with a recommended route. While locations and the route are still being finalized, we can confirm that Santa Claus himself will be stopping in Downtown Grimsby on his sleigh to greet those who drive by. Accompanying Santa will be the Grimsby Firefighters Association, collecting food for the Grimsby Benevolent Fund’s Christmas Hamper Program. The Eastbound lane of Main St. W from Ontario St. to Christie St. will be closed from 3:00pm-10:00pm on December 5th to accommodate Santa’s visit.
