Please join us for Canada Day 2022!  This is a special year as we are celebrating Grimsby's 100th birthday.  Check out the Indigenous creator space and activities for the whole family. Demonstrations, games, activities and more. Food available to purchase from the Grimsby Lion's Club. Partially funded by the Government of Canada.

Local vendors offering a variety of handmade items, crafts and goods! Celebrate, showcase, explore, and support black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in the greater Hamilton area. BMRKT's mission is to work with black, Indigenous, and person's of colour to bring their products and service to new and larger markets. With a goal to diversify the market space we can build a truly sustainable economy.  Email for more information.

Visit the Grimsby Museum for a fun day filled with art, heritage and culture! 

 

To commemorate Grimsby’s 100th year we are excited to announce the inaugural Grimsby Arts Walk happening on September 24, 2022. This will be an annual juried art festival. Visitors will walk through vendor areas staged throughout the downtown from Nelles Manor and Grimsby Museum on the west through Coronation Park and ending at Carnegie Building and the Grimsby Public Art Gallery on the east side of downtown.

3 Tour Dates:

Wednesday October 5 at 7:00 pm

Wednesday October 12 at 7:00 pm

Wednesday October 19 at 7:00 pm

 

Tour Queens Lawn Cemetery by lantern light and hear true eerie stories of past Grimsby residents.

 

Pre-registration is required. Limited space available. Online registration only. Groups are kept small to ensure a quality tour.

 

Tours are approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

 

Recommended for ages 12+

 

Tours will be held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. The tour will be cancelled in the case of extreme weather. Refunds will be sent if the museum has to cancel. Event is subject to a minimum registration.

 Spirits with Spirits
 

Registration NOW OPEN Limited tickets. First come, first served. Pre-registration is required. Online registration only.  

 

Halloween season is not just for kids! The Grimsby Museum is excited to share that we will be hosting ‘Spirits with Spirits’ on Thursday October 20th at 6:00 pm at Southward Park, Grimsby (indoor only). This event will sell out again!

 

Ticket price includes 1 cocktail (alcohol or mocktail options available). Additional drinks may be purchased at the event. Dinner and entertainment included in ticket price.

  • Spiritual group reading with psychic medium-Helen Peacock (1 hour presentation followed by Q&A)
  • Delicious cocktails and food catered by Smoke and Moonshine
  • Live music by Josh Coulter
  • True eerie Grimsby vignettes performed by Peninsula Players Community Theatre Company in costume. Stories inspired by archives from the Grimsby Museum collections.

Halloween family activities and crafts! Participants are welcome to dress in costume! All ages are welcome. Parents and guardians stay with their child(ren) for the program. Children can not be dropped off.

 Fantasy of Trees 2022! 
 

Fantasy of Trees Presented by The Rotary Club of Grimsby at The Grimsby Museum

 

Friday November 25 to Sunday December 4th  2022

Santa Day: Saturday November 26th

 

FREE Admission. Proceeds generated by the Rotary Club of Grimsby go back into community groups and not-for-profit organizations. Walk through a display of uniquely decorated trees and wreaths at the Grimsby Museum.
