Seasonal Locavore Eating Talk

Monday October 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Admission by donation supporting The Grimsby Museum. Talk on Seasonal Locavore Eating: improve your health, your community and maybe the world.

Presented by: Scott Daly, The Healthy Gym Grimsby
Hear about how Scott came to seasonal locavore eating from a health perspective and how he’s made a meaningful connection to our environment. Discover how developing a relationship with seasonal, local foods can benefit our ecosystem and each other.  Find the freshest, most nutritious foods while learning how to truly appreciate our planet and how it provides; its seasons, weather and terrain. Engage in meaningful conversation and open your mind to new ideas and experiences.

Hunting for Witches: Medieval and Early Modern Magic and Belief

Thursday October 18th at 7:00 p.m.

$8.00/ Museum Members & $10.00/ non-members. At the Grimsby Museum. Presented by: Dr. Sierra Dye, Postdoctoral Scholar - Scottish Studies, History Department. University of Guelph. Light refreshments and gallery admission included. Pre-registration required. Please call or email to register.

Crock A Doodle Halloween Party

Saturday October 27, 2018


1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
at the Grimsby Museum 6 Murray Street

$25.00/participant. Ages 4+. Paint your own pottery with Crock A Doodle Grimsby. Halloween music, additional crafts and snacks included. Costumes welcome.  Your choice of jack-o-lantern or sugar skull. Pre-registration required. Limited space available. Please call, email or visit the museum to register. Waiver form required for children being dropped off.

Annual Fundraising Dinner

Saturday November 3, 2018

Held at Casablanca Winery Inn. The Grimsby Museum Board of Directors invites you to the twenty-six annual Dinner and Auction in support of The Grimsby Museum. Savour the culinary delights of the season through a four-course gourmet menu paired with a selection of Niagara Wines. Our 2018 event speaker is Beth Gilhespy. $95.00 per person (a tax receipt will be issued for a portion of ticket cost). Pre-registration required. Please contact the Grimsby Museum to register.

 

Fantasy of Trees

Friday November 23rd to Sunday December 9th 2018

Free admission. Great for all ages. This annual event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Grimsby. Walk through the Grimsby Museum while enjoying different themed Christmas trees, urns, wreaths and gift baskets all provided by local residents and businesses. The trees make a beautiful exhibition and a wonderful winter activity for anyone to enjoy. Watch for the Grimsby Museum's gift shop annual year end sale. Draw tickets may be purchased for your chance to win. All proceeds donated back to local community organizations and student scholarships.

Christmas Party with Crock-A-Doodle

Saturday December 15th 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Grimsby Museum $27.00/participant (no tax). Ages 4+.Paint your own Christmas pottery with Crock-A-Doodle. Enjoy Christmas music, crafts and holiday treats. Parents are welcome to join in the fun or drop their children off. Waiver forms are needed for children being dropped off. Pre-registration required.
