Planning Application Fees

Planning application fees are listed on Schedule K of the Town's 2023 Consolidated Fees and Charges By-law. This By-law is typically updated on a yearly basis. Please contact the Planning Department at to obtain the most up-to-date fee schedule.

Pre-Consultation Meetings

A pre-consultation meeting is required prior to submitting an application for official plan amendment, zoning by-law amendment, draft plan of subdivision or condominium, site plan control, and occasionally at the discretion of staff, consent and minor variance applications. Pre-consultation meetings are hosted by Planning staff, and include representatives from various Town departments or external agencies as required. 

The purpose of these meetings is to:

  • Confirm what approvals are required
  • Identify any drawings, supporting studies, and reports that are required, and
  • Review planning policies that apply to the site and expected timelines
  • Flag any relevant Council decisions, and any potential areas of concern
To Request a Pre-Consultation Meeting

To request a pre-consultation meeting, please complete the application form, and submit along with required documents to the Planning and By-law Department, prior to the submission deadline.

Once received, Town staff will ensure the request is complete and will contact you to arrange for payment of the applicable fee in accordance with Schedule K of the Town's 2023 Consolidated Fees and Charges By-law.

A meeting date will then be scheduled and the information is circulated to various internal departments and external agencies for review. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. An exact appointment time will be provided.

Applicants and/or their representatives must submit a completed pre-consultation request form and an associated concept plan.
