We are excited to share that The Grimsby Museum will re-open to the public as of Thursday October 8th!

We would like to extend appreciation to our dedicated community during this difficult time. The support we’ve received has been so amazing and we can’t thank you enough Grimsby!

Strict safety protocols are in place that will not only keep everyone safe, but will also ensure your visit is enjoyable. Masks, hand sanitation upon entry, social distancing and visitor tracking are mandatory at this time. Other safety precautions such as: limited occupancy, directional arrows, reduced hours and a strict cleaning schedule are some other measures in place. The safety of our community is of utmost importance.

About us:

The Grimsby Museum was established in 1984 to serve the community as an integral part of its cultural life. The Museum is owned and operated by the Town of Grimsby.

The Grimsby Museum features two exhibition galleries which change frequently. We host travelling exhibitions and feature local history relating to Grimsby and the Niagara Region. Our artefact collection consists of 15,000 pieces of art, objects, textiles, archives, photographs and archaeological material. We also host a variety of special events, children’s programmes and workshops. We have a gift shop and small picnic park facing the Niagara Escarpment.

There’s something for everyone at your Grimsby Museum! Stay in touch and discover something new.
