Pickleball Courts

Pickleball Grimsby Project

What is Pickleball?

In Ontario the sport called Pickleball is rapidly expanding. It is a mixture multiple sports: the court is the same size as a badminton court, the whiffle ball is similar to a tennis ball and the paddle is similar in style to table tennis. The game is great for a range of skill levels and ages. It is easy to learn meaning you can be confident when you play!
What is needed to play?
  • Paddle and Whiffle Ball (available for rental through the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department - 162 Livingston Avenue.)

  • Court Shoes (we recommend wearing soft-soled shoes to protect the court surface)

Where can I find out more information on Pickleball?

For complete information check out the Pickleball Ontario website (www.pickleballontario.org) There you will find video clips showing the game being played, a map showing where it is played in Ontario, a news and announcements page, photos from our tournaments, links to other pickleball sites, information on where to buy equipment and lots more.
