Rentals and Permits
All organized park uses require a Town of Grimsby permit, and some park uses are restricted to specific locations. To inquire about a park permit or a pavilion permit please contact the Recreation office.
Parks By-Law
Please observe the following park rules and regulations to ensure the enjoyment of all users:
- Parks are open 30 min before sunrise, and 30 min after sunset, unless under special permit.
- Alcohol is not permitted in any public park.
- All parks are smoke free areas
- Dogs must be on leash at all times and dog owners are responsible to “Stoop and Scoop” and dispose of animal waste.
- Fireworks are not permitted in any park or public space. Fireworks on private properly should follow our Safety Guidelines
- Organized uses of public parks is only permitted in select Community Parks with a Town of Grimsby permit.
- Parking and vehicle operation is only permitted in designated areas.
- Overnight camping or parking is not permitted.
- Removal or damage of any plants, shrubs, flowers or trees in the park is not permitted.
- There is no dumping allowed in the park.
- It is not permitted to injure, hunt, trap or disturb any animal or bird in the park.
- Some park restrictions may be modified for a special park use if under a special written permit by the Town of Grimsby ( ie fireworks in a community park)
- Failure to observe the regulations of the Parks By-law is a chargeable offence.
