Grand Opening Event

The Town of Grimsby is excited to welcome the community to the grand opening of the newly expanded and renovated Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Following construction completion later this year, staff will prepare the facility for launch, unveiling brand-new amenities including a double gymnasium, indoor track, multi-use rooms, a fitness studio, and modernized spaces throughout.

About MRPKC

The Town of Grimsby's Peach King Centre is a full-service recreation facility and community hub. Home to numerous sports organizations, twin arena pads, outdoor rink and splash pad, the Peach King Centre is a must visit in Grimsby. The Peach King Centre is currently under construction with only select amenities available. For full details about the construction project, please visit our Lets Talk Grimsby page.

The Peach King Centre is now open for Ice Use only though the end of 2025. The full facility is scheduled to open in January 2026.

For the September 2025 Season

Reopening Information

The Peach King Centre has reopened during construction to accommodate the 2025-2026 ice season. The only amenities that remain accessible to the public are the East and West Pad. Please consider the following before you attend a program at the Peach King Centre this season:

Most parking lot work is complete. There is now ample parking on site.
Limited lobby space, dress warm and avoid loitering in common areas
Cash will not be accepted for skating and shinny programs.
Customer Service Desk has been relocated to the Livingston Activity Centre.

Emergency exits have changed. Consider the updated exiting guidelines posted in the building.
There is no access to the second floor
If you are part of a hockey or skating association, please review any additional guidelines they have provided.

We thank all our patrons for their patience while we complete important upgrades to the PKC Facility.
