Grimsby 100 Celebration arrives in Downtown Grimsby on September 24th

The Town of Grimsby is turning 100, and the Town of Grimsby is throwing a giant birthday party for the whole community to celebrate! Join us for the once-in-a-century celebration on Saturday September 24 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. as we mark the 100 year milestone as a Town.

Downtown Grimsby will be closed to traffic to welcome live music performances, live mural paintings, a Grimsby 100 Birthday Cake presentation, buskers and family entertainment. The day will be topped off with a spectacular laser show set to music from the main stage.

September 24th will also host the inaugural Grimsby Arts Walk from 10am – 4pm, which will take residents on an interactive walking route connecting local art and culture institutions in Town. The event will feature a juried art show at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery, an art sale by the Lakeside Pumphouse Arts Association at Nelles Manor, an Art Battle at the Grimsby Museum and much more! Visit www.grimsbyartswalk.ca for more info!

Bookending the main celebrations of September 24th will be the final Movie Night in the Park of the year on Friday September 23rd, and a special edition Outdoor Author Series presented by the Grimsby Public Library on Sunday September 25th both in Coronation Park.

We invite residents, businesses and visitors to help us celebrate this milestone event as we continue to mark 100 years of Grimsby.  The Town is also encouraging residents to share their Grimsby Story ahead of the event at www.grimsby.ca/Grimsby100.
