The Town of Grimsby is advising residents that Regional Road 81 (Main Street West), between Woolverton Road and Kerman Avenue, will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Monday, May 25 to Wednesday, June 3, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is required to accommodate site servicing work at 292 Main Street West.
A detour route will be in place using:
- Casablanca Boulevard (Regional Road 10)
- Livingston Avenue (Regional Road 512)
- Mountain Street (Regional Road 12)
Please note:
- Businesses and residents will not have access through the hard closure at 292 Main Street West and may need to use alternate routes to reach their destination.
- Emergency services will not have access through the hard closure location during this time.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour signage, and allow for additional travel time.
Questions regarding the closure may be directed to Adam Parker, Corridor Technician, at 905-980-6000 ext. 3426.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this temporary disruption.
