Strong winds are expected to continue through the Niagara Region and Grimsby, reaching 70 to 80km/h through Thursday night and possibly Friday morning. These southwest winds will shift to the west tonight to the northwest by Thursday afternoon/evening.

During this time, please be advised that:

- local utility outages are possible

- high-sided vehicles may be pushed by the wind

- loose outdoor objects may become airborne

We urge residents during this time to take necessary precautions. Please ensure outdoor objects are secured (such as patio furniture or garbage/recycling bins), that residents stay clear of trees or power lines, and to use caution if they must drive.
