Inglehart Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project and Road Closure
The Town of Grimsby advises residents that Inglehart Road will be closed to through traffic and restricted to local traffic only between Ridge Road West and Kemp Road West from June 15 to September 30, 2026.
The closure is required to facilitate rehabilitation work on the existing Inglehart Road Bridge located just north of Kemp Road West. The project has been awarded to Rankin Construction Inc. and is scheduled to begin on June 15, 2026, with an anticipated completion date of September 30, 2026.
The rehabilitation work includes:
- Concrete repairs and patching
- Waterproofing
- Abutment and wingwall repairs
- Asphalt paving
- Slope stabilization and erosion protection measures
During construction, the bridge crossing will be closed to the public. Through traffic will be detoured via Woolverton Road. Local access will be maintained where possible.
The Town recognizes that this closure may cause inconvenience and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents, businesses, and road users throughout the construction period. Every effort will be made to complete the work efficiently and minimize disruptions.
Residents with specific accessibility requirements or concerns are encouraged to contact the Town.
