Grimsby Puts Young Artists’ Festive Talent on Display with Mayor’s Holiday Card Contest
The Grimsby Public Art Gallery welcomed the creativity of our community’s young artists through the Mayor’s Holiday Card Contest; an initiative introduced by Mayor Jeff Jordan to inspire and celebrate youth art in Grimsby.
Earlier this season, children and youth from across Town were invited to let their imaginations sleigh by painting, drawing, or designing their own festive scenes. From sparkling snowfalls to twinkling trees, participants were encouraged to create original holiday-themed artwork – with Grimsby-inspired designs especially welcome. Entries could be submitted digitally or dropped off at the Gallery, and all artworks were displayed in the Grimsby Public Art Gallery’s Community Exhibition Space.
This week, the Town proudly announced the 2025 contest winners, and one of these young artists have a chance to be featured on the 2025 Mayor’s Holiday Greeting Card!
Contest Winners:
· Blair, Age 7 – Welcome to Grimsby
· Lucie, Age 6 – Holiday Tree
· Myra, Age 6 – Reindeer
Young artists had their submissions framed and showcased on the Gallery walls and were treated to sweet holiday prizes as they celebrated with family and friends. The event brought residents together to enjoy the talent, imagination, and festive spirit highlighted in each piece.
The Town extends a warm thank-you to every participant for sharing their creativity. If you haven’t had the chance, be sure to stop by the Grimsby Public Art Gallery this season to enjoy the full collection of joyful holiday artwork on display.
