Envision Grimsby 2051: Project Timeline Update

Throughout the final phase of the Official Plan Review project, Council approval of the Official Plan had been anticipated for June 2026.

Due to ongoing changes to provincial legislation and the planning framework, the project timeline has been extended to allow for additional review and public input on the next revised draft of the Official Plan.

On June 1, 2026, a third version of the Draft Official Plan will be presented to Council, along with a report outlining changes made since the previous release and information addressing outstanding matters. This meeting will provide another opportunity for residents, business owners, and interested parties to delegate to Council.

Those wishing to delegate at the June 1, 2026 Council meeting are asked to complete the delegation request form available here: https://eforms.grimsby.ca/Delegation-request-form. Delegation requests must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting (5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026).

The final version of the Official Plan, along with a staff recommendation report, is anticipated to be brought forward to Council for adoption on July 13, 2026.
