Downtown Snow Clearing scheduled for February 4, 2026
The Town of Grimsby will be conducting snow removal in the downtown core to help keep roads, sidewalks, and parking areas safe and accessible for residents, businesses, and visitors.
When:
- Wednesday, February 4, 2026
- 4:00 – 7:00 a.m.
What to expect:
- Temporary closure of Main Street East through the downtown core, from Ontario Street to Christie Street
- On-street parking will not be accessible during the cleanup period
- Residents and guests are asked to avoid overnight parking in the affected area and instead use municipal parking lots located to the rear of downtown on both the north and south sides
This work will help remove excess snow from recent major snow events, restore accessible parking spaces, and improve safety and mobility for both drivers and pedestrians traveling through the downtown core.
Snow Removal Area:
The snow clearing area is shown on the map below. Snow removal limits include Main Street East between Ontario Street and Christie Street, along with surrounding downtown areas.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as crews work to keep Downtown Grimsby safe, clear, and accessible.
