Firework Ban
Please be advised that by accordance with Bylaw 20-41, the use of fireworks are not prohibited. This weekend's hot, dry weather creates the perfect conditions for an out-of-control fire, so we ask the public to respect the fireworks ban and stay safe! One spark can lead to a fire and put others at risk.
Activities
Calligraphy Workshop
Head over to the Grimsby Museum (6 Murray Street, Grimsby) this Saturday, August 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a beginner-friendly class on an Introduction to Modern Calligraphy Workshop. This paid workshop led by Fifth of June will provide you all the materials you’ll need to nail down the fundamentals of modern calligraphy.
$40 per participant, pre-registration required. Workshop for those ages 12 and up (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). Registration deadline July 31 at midnight.
GBF Vendor Market
Help support GBF by visiting the GBF Vendor Market this Saturday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Coronation Park. This fun-filled summer event has something for everyone: over 25 vendors to shop from, face painting, balloon twisting and live entertainment with Josh Coulter!
Admission is free, but we kindly ask for donations of non-perishable food items to help support GBF.
LinkedIn Learning
As a reminder for residents, the Town of Grimsby, along with the Grimsby Public Library, offers free access to LinkedIn Learning, providing a vast library of high-quality courses to our community.
