Celebrating Heritage Week 2026

Each February, Ontarians celebrate Heritage Week, recognizing heritage in all its forms. This year, Heritage Week takes place from February 16–22.

From the first Indigenous peoples who lived on and cared for these lands, to the European settlers who introduced distinctive architectural styles, technology, and innovation, to the many individuals and families who have since chosen to call Grimsby home - each has contributed traditions, cultures, and stories that continue to shape our community.

The Town of Grimsby is proud of its rich history and remains committed to preserving the stories, traditions, and built heritage that define who we are.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our heritage property owners, dedicated volunteers, curators, archivists, and everyone who contributes to safeguarding both our tangible and intangible heritage.

Follow our social media channels throughout February 16–22 as we celebrate Heritage Week.
