Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) By-law Let's Talk Grimsby Page Launched

The Town of Grimsby Municipal Law Enforcement has launched a Let’s Talk Grimsby page to help provide clear and accessible information on the new Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) By-law.

AMPS is a compliance-based enforcement option available to Ontario municipalities that allows certain by-law offences to be addressed through penalty notices rather than the provincial court system. AMPS is not criminal in nature and can be used for both parking and non-parking offences, such as Clean Yards and Noise by-laws.

By offering a streamlined, administrative process, AMPS supports improved safety, fairness, and by-law compliance within the community.

Visit the Let’s Talk Grimsby page to stay informed, learn about AMPS, and ask your questions: www.letstalkgrimsby.ca/amps
