2026 Interim Property Tax Bills are now being mailed.

Interim tax bills are issued at 50% of last year’s total property tax amount (annual levy) and are payable in two installments:

• Friday, March 6, 2026
• Friday, May 1, 2026

Property owners enrolled in a monthly Pre-Authorized payment plan (PAP) will not receive an Interim Tax Bill. If you are enrolled on a monthly PAP plan and wish to receive a copy of your tax bill, please email tax-dept@grimsby.ca or call us at 905-945-9634 and we will be happy to mail one to you. 

Understanding Your Interim Property Tax Bill

• The Interim bill is calculated as 50% of last year’s total property taxes.
• The Final bill, issued in July 2026, will reflect any changes approved in the 2026 budget.

Why does my interim bill include a Wastewater charge that I won’t see on my final bill?

The 2026 interim bill is based on 50% of 2025 taxes, which included a wastewater levy. That levy will not be part of your 2026 final taxes, so your total 2026 tax bill will be adjusted accordingly.

Final Tax bills will be mailed to all property owners at the beginning of July. Final installment due dates will be Friday, August 7 and Friday, October 2, 2026.

There are many payment options available including monthly and installment payment plans, online banking, and cheque by mail or drop box at town hall or in person by cash or cheque. Credit cards are not accepted in person at town hall but can be made via Paymentus on our website. A service fee is charged by Paymentus for hosting this service.  Credit card payments can also be made over the phone by calling 1-877-755-6386.
