What authors visit the Grimsby Author Series?

The Grimsby Author Series welcomes critically-acclaimed, award-winning, and internationally recognized authors from across all genres. Each season is different, but our authors are usually Canadian, or live in Canada, and have recently released a new work. They are often seen on bestseller lists across the country. How many events take place in a season? And when?

There are six events throughout the year, three in the spring and three in the fall. The fall season usually takes place in September, October, and November, and the spring season takes place in March, April and May. At the Library events take place throughout both seasons, with tickets sold separately and dates varying from year to year. Go to About the Series to learn more about what happens at Grimsby Author Series events.

When do tickets go on sale?

Fall ticket packages go on sale in the August before the season begins in September. Spring ticket packages go on sale just before Christmas. Go to our ticket information page for more details.

Where do the events take place?

Each of our regular season events take place at the Casablanca Winery Inn. The At the Library events take place at the Grimsby Public Library.

What time do events start?

For the spring and fall seasons, doors open at 7 p.m. and the talks begin at 7:30 p.m. For the At the Library events, doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the talks begin at 7 p.m.

How will I know if an event has been cancelled?

Before heading out to the event, please check Twitter and Facebook for event cancellations. If the Library cancels an event due to extreme weather or author illness, we will do our best to spread the word with as much notice as possible.
