Volunteer opportunities

Community Income Tax Volunteer Program

  • Mondays in March and April, 9:30 a.m. -12 p.m.
  • Thursdays in March and April, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

If you have a basic understanding of income tax, you can work with the Library to complete returns for individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation. This helps these individuals maintain uninterrupted access to their benefit payments.

As a Community Volunteer Income Tax Program volunteer, you will:

  • give back to your community
  • increase your tax knowledge
  • gain new skills and improve existing ones
  • do work that is valued and recognized

The library has regular volunteer jobs available. Please check the current opportunities below to apply. We accept applications on an ongoing basis from teens that are looking to fufill community service hours required by schools in Ontario. Teens can get on our volunteer list for our Tech Savvy Teen program, Teen Advisory Group, or for general event and program volunteering.
