Volunteer opportunities

Phelps Homes Family Literacy Day, Teen Volunteers

The Grimsby Library is in need of some high school student volunteers for Family Literacy Day at the Library on the morning and afternoon of Saturday, January 25, 2020. It should be a fun way to bank some community service hours in support of a good cause.

Details:
  • Event date/time: Saturday, January 25 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Volunteer hours available: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and/or 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Teen volunteers wanted ages 12 to 17
  • Volunteer tasks include setting up for the event (morning shift), monitoring and running activities during the event such as crafts, games, face painting, etc., and putting things away after the event is over (afternoon shift).

The library has regular volunteer jobs available. Please check the current opportunities below to apply. We accept applications on an ongoing basis from teens that are looking to fufill community service hours required by schools in Ontario. Teens can get on our volunteer list for our Tech Savvy Teen program, Teen Advisory Group, or for general event and program volunteering.
