About printing

To print from the computer lab, use the print options on the document or software you are using. Two dialogue boxes will pop up to confirm your print job; press “ok” to both to send your item to print. Please approach the library service desk to pay, and a staff member will release your items to the printer. You can also print directly from a USB stick by plugging it into our printer for regular printing prices

About photocopying

We have a high quality, large bed photocopier available in black and white or colour. You can copy on 8.5 x 11 and 8.5 x 14 paper. You can also use it to scan documents to a USB stick in PDF format free of charge.

Scanning

It is free to scan documents at the Library. We have two options for scanning documents and other flat items. You can scan directly to your USB drive using our photocopier or get higher quality, more versatile scans using our Epson V500 flatbed scanner.

Scan using the photocopier

Use our photocopier to scan documents to a USB stick. Documents will be saved as PDFs. You can also print from your USB stick for regular printing prices. Please ask at the library service desk if you require assistance.

Scan using the flatbed scanner

Use our Epson V500 flatbed scanner in the Media Lab for high quality scans of documents, photos, slides and negatives. Scanned files can be saved to a USB stick or emailed. Any files saved on the computer will be erased once the session ends. Please ask at the library service desk if you require assistance.
