Niagara Region Launches Survey to help Improve Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Grimsby, ON –

Grimsby residents are welcome and encouraged to participate in Niagara Region’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Community Survey to help make Niagara a more welcoming and inclusive community for everyone.

Available until December 1, 2021, the short online survey asks residents to share experiences of discrimination they have witnessed or experienced in Niagara, and their ideas to eliminate that discrimination. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and is available in both English and French.

The survey also includes some demographic questions regarding ethnicity, education, and gender to provide data that will help identify differences in experiences between individuals or groups, and ensure Niagara’s diverse populations are all heard.

Results will be used by Niagara’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee and Niagara Region to create a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan, due to be completed in 2022. Survey responses will be kept strictly confidential, and no personal information will be shared.

Fore more information read Niagara’s News Release regarding the survey launch.
