Investments in key infrastructure projects build strong and healthy communities, and provides Grimsby with opportunities to grow and develop today so that it can be resilient in the face of tomorrow.

On Monday April 18th, the provincial and federal governments announced that Grimsby has been award a $1.9 million grant throughout the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program - Green Stream program.

This funding will be used to replace watermains, service pipes and fire hydrants on Main Street and Elm Street.

“We would like to thank our provincial and federal partners, including MPP Oosterhoff and MP Alison, for their continued advocacy of Grimsby’s application,” said Mayor Jeff Jordan. “This work will help ensure Grimsby residents have access to clean and safe drinking water for decades to come.”

This funding will go a long way in supporting the efforts for the Downtown Reimagined project and the vision for how Main Street can support the businesses, residents, and visitors of the Town.
