Grimsby preparing to offer residents additional services as Niagara Region enters Stage 3

GRIMSBY PREPARING TO OFFER RESIDENTS ADDITIONAL SERVICES AS NIAGARA REGION ENTERS STAGE 3

Grimsby, ON – As Grimsby and the Niagara Region transition into Stage 3 of Ontario’s reopening framework on Friday July 24th, residents can look forward to a number of services returning as Grimsby’s recovery continues. Services will be added incrementally, and residents are encouraged to continue visiting the Town website for the most up to date information.

The following services are currently scheduled for reopening:

  • Playgrounds and Play Structures – July 24th
  • Sports Field and Facility Rentals – Week of July 27th
  • Personal Training and Group Fitness Classes – Week of July 27th
  • Grimsby Public Library Computer Appointments – Week of August 4th
  • Pathstone Mental Health Program Appointments (Library) - Week of August 4th
  • Peach King Centre Weight Room – Week of August 4th

Staff are committed to ensuring the health and safety of residents as these services resume, and the development of site specific safety measures and guidelines is underway. More information will be coming available shortly on the COVID-19 resource page.

Reopening of additional facilities and services will be forthcoming as staff continue to employ a measured approach to ensure a safe and successful rollout of the recovery plan.

Plans for strategic and thoughtful reopening are well underway, and we are excited to gradually welcome residents back to Town facilities and services over the coming weeks. By continuing to work together with Council, Staff, and Community Stakeholders, residents can expect a safe and responsible return to their valued community services.”
