Council Celebrates United Way Niagara’s 2021 Campaign Kickoff

Today, on behalf of Council, Mayor Jeff Jordan and Councillor Freake were joined by members of United Way Niagara to celebrate the kickoff of the organizations 2021 Campaign, which will run until the end of December.

Similar to last year’s campaign, this initiative will focus on helping 120,000 people across Niagara who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the pandemic, 50,000 people in Niagara were food insecure, meaning they didn’t have appropriate access to healthy food....

Grimsby, ON - (Sept. 8, 2021) – The Town of Lincoln and the Town of Grimsby have approved by-laws to move forward with a pilot project for the provision of shared fire protection services, to deliver fire protection services jointly to both communities.  The implementation of shared fire services allows both municipalities to maximize their collective resources without each having to pay the full cost of such and will serve to preserve the volunteer fire service model.

Last week, on behalf of Council, Mayor Jeff Jordan, Councillor Kadwell and Town staff attended this years Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference, held virtually from August 15th to 18th, 2021.
