Adopt-A-Book Program
What is the “Adopt-A-Book”program?
The Adopt-A-Book is a rewarding and lasting way to honour a loved one or commemorate an important occasion. Donations to this program will allow us to keep up with the demands for new books while creating a lasting memorial. Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, gifts for the teacher, in remembrance of a friend, or as a commemorative for other special occasions are perfect reasons to adopt a book and provide a gift that can be opened again and again.
How does Adopt-A-Book work?
We ask the donor to select a category or author of a book they would like to “adopt”. Each gift of $25.00 will include a bookplate that is placed inside the cover of the adopted book recognizing the honored party and the donor. All gifts to this program will receive a tax receipt for the amount of the gift and a personalized letter to the honored party. All profits from this program will be utilized to add books to the Grimsby Public Library's collection.
How to contribute?
All interested donors are invited to complete an Adopt-A-Book form, available at the Library. Once completed, it is to be handed in to the Circulation Desk, along with the donation, and we will process the request.
