This Grimsby Public Library service is for home-bound users who are unable to visit the Library due to disability, illness, or frality. Staff select and deliver items to patrons once a month.

Special Services

At the Grimsby Public Library, we have materials and a growing array of programs to meet your needs. Having troubles reading the some of the small fonts  in books these days? We have a large collection of large-print books. Search for large-print materials in our catalogue, or try CD Audiobooks and our downloadable eAudiobooks or eBooks.  

 


 

Genealogy Research

Working on the family tree? Grimsby Public Library can help with Ancestry.ca, a growing local history collection, and knowledgeable staff to help. Your search just got easier.

Tech Savvy Office Hours

Who better to share their knowledge of technology than teens? Starting on Tuesday, October 7, drop in for some one-on-one help from our Tech Savvy teen volunteers.

This program is offered Tuesdays from 3:45 PM -4:45 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

 


3D Printer Tutorials

Curious about the possibilities offered by 3D Printing Technology? We’re now offering free 15 minute 3D printing tutorials for the library’s Makerbot Replicator II 3D printer. No experience necessary! Please book in advance on your next visit or by calling 905-945-5142.

Basic Internet Sessions
The Library offers one-on-one introductory sessions for those new to the Internet. Library staff will provide you with an introduction to Internet searching and emailing.

Can't make it to one of our Tech Savvy Teen Office Hours?  Take advantage of our free one-on-one sessions to become familiar with your device.  SeniorsGuide A Guide to Programs and Services for Seniors in Ontario is a resource produced by the Government of Ontario and contains a wealth of  information about programs and services available to Ontario's seniors. It is produced by the Ontario Seniors' Secretariat and distributed by ServiceOntario Publications.  This document can be accessed online in over a dozen languages or print copies can be ordered online or by phone.  You can also borrow a copy from the library.
